Beverly Greenwald, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, NP-C

    Chair

Beverly Greenwald appreciates the important work of the ND Cancer Coalition members who are screening- and prevention-focused with the aim of reducing cancer morbidity and mortality. Our efforts will help make ND a healthier state.

She is a nursing professor and Family Nurse Practitioner interested in all types of health promotion and disease prevention. She has a special interest in colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention and screening. She works in a gastroenterology clinic, and has assisted with colonoscopies since 1989. Since 2002, she has aspired to make North Dakota the most screened state for CRC. Progress has been made thanks to people working together from across our state. While she is proud of what we have accomplished, we can do much more for all types of cancers!

Her other cancer-related activities include being an active member of the ND CRC Roundtable since 2016, the ND Cancer Coalition since 2022, and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates. She helped prepare North Dakota’s first Cancer Plan and the 2025-2035 update. She published dozens of peer-reviewed articles, mostly on CRC-related topics, and is an Editorial Board member of the Gastroenterology Nursing journal. She enjoys keeping up with the latest advances in this and other fields. She loves being part of the NDCC and the opportunity to foster collaboration among the coalition members so we can continue to create a healthy ND.
