Survivorship Awareness Education Campaign
Cancer Survivorship is an emerging and very important part of the cancer care continuum. Education and support in this field is necessary not only for the physicians treating the patients but their families, caregivers, and the patients themselves.
The NDCC Survivorship workgroup is made up of partners around North Dakota with a passion for increasing the education about survivorship and the awareness of survivors needs, activities, and barriers. Through the campaign for Survivorship Awareness Education, it is the hope of this passionate group that providers and families will have more resources available to them, an increase in the utilization of hospices by advocating for statewide hospice expansion, increasing the use of survivorship care plans, and increase the awareness of and participation in wellness programs for cancer survivors.
