UV Safety Tool-Kit
The UV Safety Toolkit was created over the course of a year by the UV Safety Workgroup of the North Dakota Cancer Coalition (NDCC) and partners at the North Dakota State University Extension offices around the state. This toolkit and this online version should be used to promote and educate about sun safety. The toolkit includes activities for all age groups to learn about the effects of the sun and what we can all do to prevent skin damage.
In addition to the activities, this toolkit includes information for schools and coaches to teach the practice of safe sun while participating in school activities and athletics.
It is our hope that this toolkit will be used by all different kinds programs in North Dakota to promote sun safety and educate about the risks of sun burns and tans.
Using the UV Tool-kit Resource page you can determine what activities would be best for your audience and includes the ages the activities are meant for to help better select appropriate activities.
There are 15 hard-copies of the UV Tool-kit that include UV flashlights, beads, sun meter cards, and the EPA SunWise Tool-kit place around the state.
