2012-2013 Activities

1. Physical Activity and Nutrition 
    a. Worksites, schools, other organizations and community settings
    b. Healthy holidays nutrition and physical activity campaign

2. Tobacco Prevention
    a. Tobacco cessation for adults and youth
    b. Tobacco prevention in particular for youth
    c. Collaborate with partners who focus on American Indian smoking prevention and cessation
    d. Work with the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program to conduct trainings for NDCC 
        members and other state partners on Ask, Advise and Refer

3. Sun Protection
    a. Will use several available resources such as the Dermascan machine and sunscreen samples to
        educate a number of entities
    b. Address skin cancer risks with indoor tanning (tanning beds)

4. Environmental Issues
    a. Educate North Dakotans about radon, its effects on lung cancer, how to test and reduce radon
        exposure.

5. HPV Vaccination
    a. Implement activities to facilitate HPV vaccination education and promote vaccination of the
        three dose series.
